History of Diriyah
Glory began in Diriyah. It was founded in 850 AH (1446 CE) by Prince Mani' bin Rabi'a Al-Muraidi on the banks of Wadi Hanifah. In 1139 AH (1727 CE), Imam Mohammad bin Saud established the First Saudi State and made Diriyah its capital. From here, Saudi leadership emerged, and from here we inherited the values of authenticity, honor, and hospitality. Diriyah has remained a symbol of pride and the cradle of Saudi identity.
