Minzal Returns to Celebrate the Natural Heritage of Historic Diriyah

Diriyah, January 2, 2026: The new edition of the Minzal Program officially launched yesterday, celebrating the rich natural environmental heritage of historic Diriyah in a setting where history meets nature. Overlooking Wadi Safar, the largest tributary of Wadi Hanifah, the program is part of Diriyah Season 25/26 and is inspired by traditional life and authentic Saudi hospitality.

Open daily from 5:00 p.m., Minzal offers visitors a comprehensive experience that reflects the traditions and core values of life in Diriyah, including heritage storytelling, poetry, natural scenery, traditional cuisine, and activities such as horseback riding, falconry, archery, astronomy, alongside a selection of renowned international restaurants, cafés, and retail outlets.

The program spans four main zones highlighting Diriyah’s historical and cultural stature as the cradle of Saudi culture. These include the “Al-Uloom” experience, where visitors can learn leatherworking, carpet weaving, and woodworking, as well as the “Sloom” experience, which promotes awareness of Saudi coffee, desert plants, fire lighting, camel milking, and tent making.

Minzal also presents the “Faris Al-Badiyah” experience for horse riding and archery, the “Falconry” experience to learn the art of hunting with Arabian falcons, and the “Al-Mushrif” experience, offering stargazing under Diriyah’s clear skies for a serene and immersive atmosphere.

Wadi Safar is a significant geological and historical landmark, distinguished by its fertile rock formations and agricultural lands that historically supported settlements along Wadi Hanifah and served as a strategic defensive area during the First Saudi State.
