Sunrise Walk: An Innovative Opportunity for Diriyah Season Visitors to Explore the Historical and Natural Aspects of the Place

Diriyah, 22 January 2026: Diriyah Season 25/26 continues to present new exploratory experiences starting with the first rays of sunrise. Through the Sunrise Walk experience, visitors are introduced to Diriyah’s history and local environment via an interactive early morning route that combines walking in nature, exploring historical sites, and enjoying the surroundings during the early moments of sunrise.

The experience begins with participants gathering in Adhwaihrah District at 5:30 a.m., in preparation for the start of the walking trail, which passes through several districts in Dating back to the First Saudi State, including At-Turaif, Al-Bujairi, Samhan, and Malwi, where visitors witness the sunrise at 6:00 a.m. while crossing landmarks linked to the region’s national and cultural history, in a scene reflecting the beauty of the natural environment and the details of the traditional architecture that distinguishes Diriyah.

The walk includes designated stops that allow participants to reflect on the natural scenery and listen to stories from the First Saudi State and Diriyah’s history, strengthening visitors’ connection to the place and offering a calm cultural experience where nature integrates with historical memory. The route also provides opportunities for photography and documenting the experience.

The experience concludes with a traditional breakfast served at “Tofareyat Adhwaihrah” at 8:00 a.m., featuring local flavors inspired by Najdi cuisine, in an atmosphere that reflects the spirit of Saudi hospitality and enriches the visitors’ sensory experience, before bidding farewell to participants amid positive interaction and impressions that reflect the impact of the experience.

Sunrise Walk is part of the diverse program lineup offered by Diriyah Season, which aims to highlight historical and natural sites through contemporary approaches and deliver integrated cultural and tourism experiences that reinforce Diriyah’s position as a leading cultural and historical destination—one that brings together authenticity and modern experience, while supporting the Quality of Life objectives under Saudi Vision 2030.
